Full Description

Site of an unnamed farmstead, Corby Glen. Demolished 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of F plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. Isolated location. {1} Remains of a former post-medieval farmstead, to the west of Birkholme, Corby Glen. The site is depicted (but not named) on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map, which shows a probable detached farmhouse with an F-shaped range of barns, yards and animal shelters to the immediate north. Remains of the farmstead are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {2}{3}
