Full Description

During a watching brief in 2002, two pits were recorded. One was dated to the late medieval/early post-medieval period from pottery finds and was thought to be a rubbish pit; the other was dated to the late post-medieval period from finds of a ceramic inkwell and a fish paste jar. {1}{2} Medieval pottery was recovered during a watching brief at the adjacent Partney House (TF 41060 68267). {3}{4}
