PRN 44535
During a watching brief in 2001, a north-west/south-east aligned pit or ditch containing a sherd of thirteenth to fourteenth century pottery was recorded. An architectural fragment, thought to be part of a medieval window, was also recovered; the closest medieval building is the church of St Martin (PRN 40563).{1}{2}
Medieval earthwork settlement remains have been recorded in and around the present village.{3}
