Full Description

19th century school building. Small three bay single storey red brick building with ashlar dressings, under a pitched gabled slate roof. Coped gables. One large gable stack to the south. A number of modern classroom buildings have been erected on the same site. {1} The school was built in 1870, paid for by subscription at a cost of £400, and was attended in 1872 by more than 20 pupils. {2} It is shown as a school on both the 1887 and 1905 OS maps of South Hykeham. {3}{4}
