During a site visit and earthwork survey in 1998, hollow ways and a house platform were identified. Although undated from the available evidence, the features are probably of medieval date. {1}
Medieval settlement earthworks have been noted from aerial photographs in the area of Market Stainton Hall. These include crofts, tofts, hollow way and enclosures. {2}
