Full Description

PRN 35740 During a watching brief in 1997, undated features were recorded. A north-west/south-east aligned linear feature contained roughly worked stone and was thought to be a robbed-out wall. This feature was possibly of early date, as its alignment differed from those of the village boundaries, which probably date to the medieval period. The feature was also sealed by a subsoil containing Roman pottery. A pit, a ditch and a line of postholes which probably formed a north/south aligned fenceline were also recorded.{1}{2}
