Full Description

Cropmarks of an enclosure of probable prehistoric or Roman date, to the west of Bingham's Holt, Witham St Hughs. Visible as an incomplete, rectangular ditched enclosure, measuring approximately 25m wide. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1} Further air photography revealed the full extent of this rectangular enclosure, which is approximately 55m in length. Parallel to its northern side, and at a distance of c.8m, there is a second outer ditch which appears to be associated. {2}
