Full Description
PRN 70265
During trial trenching irregularly shaped limestone was recorded, this has been interpreted as structural remains, probably a wall, and has been dated as approximately mid 16th century. Pottery sherds of a late medieval to early post medieval periods were recovered together with some medieval roof tile. As the majority of the assemblage dates from the 16th to 17th century it has been suggested that the tiles that are embedded in mortar may have been reused as make up for a floor. {1}{2}
