Full Description

T-plan one and a half storey brick building, under a pitched gabled tile roof. Two large crow-stepped lateral stacks. {1} White's 1872 Trade Directory states that the National School in Thorpe on the Hill was built in 1843 by the rector, and attended in 1872 by around 50 pupils. {2} The school building can be seen in T-plan form on the 1905 OS map of the village. {3}
