The former chapel was built in 1842 and was probably superseded by the John Hunt Memorial Wesleyan Chapel on Fosse Lane (PRN 62406) in 1909. It is described in the English Heritage Inventory of Nonconformist Chapels and Meeting Houses as being built of brick with a hipped pantile roof and a broad 3-bay front with an altered entrance.{4}{5}{6}
