Full Description

62422 A Wesleyan Methodist Chapel was located to the south of Middle Lane. It appears to have survived until the 1960s. {1}{2}{3} The site was visited in 2009. The chapel no longer survives and the site is now occupied by a modern house named Old Chapel House. The former chapel was built in 1842 and was probably superseded by the John Hunt Memorial Wesleyan Chapel on Fosse Lane (PRN 62406) in 1909. It is described in the English Heritage Inventory of Nonconformist Chapels and Meeting Houses as being built of brick with a hipped pantile roof and a broad 3-bay front with an altered entrance.{4}{5}{6}
