An Anglo-Saxon small-long brooch, probably dating to the sixth century was found while metal detecting in a ploughed field to the west of Tunman Wood, near Eagle Barnsdale. It is of cross potent type with a crescentic foot, and remains in the possession of the finder. {1}{2}
