Full Description

Site of a former school seen on the 1889 and 1905 OS maps of Billinghay. It comprised a single rectangular range with a wide porch or lean-to extension to the west. The small two storey red brick house to the west may have been an associated schoolmaster's house. {1}{2}{3} No mention is made of a school in Billinghay in either White's 1856 or 1872 Trade Directories, so this is likely to have been a later construction. {4}{5} The school appears to have closed by the late 1960s, when it was put up for sale. It is described as having two main rooms, with mains services. {6}
