Full Description

PRN 62368 There is a fire station indicated on the 1905 County Series Ordnance Survey map. The Billinghay fire engine was called out when there was a fire on 9th September 1864. The long distance from which the water had to be fetched meant that it was some time before it was of any use. There is a Hall on the site, which may be the original building. {1}{2} The Hall which currently stands on this site was built in the 1920s as a church hall (PRN 64374), presumbably replacing the previous building. {3}
