Full Description

62353 During a watching brief on the Billinghay watermain replacement between Billinghay and North Kyme, located in Trench 5 near the Car Dyke, an undated ditch was identified. Due to the limited amount exposed the dimensions and direction of this feature could not be established. It is suggested that it may have been part of a fence or barrier alongside the ditch. Two undated fragments of worked wood were recovered from the ditch, one of which was in situ. These wooden objects may have been part of a fence or barrier alongside the ditch. {1}{2}
