Full Description

Motherby hill is a footpath running down the escarpment from the top of Spring Hill to West Parade. It shows a marked variety of 19th and early 20th century cast iron street furniture, representing works from no less than six local Lincoln iron foundries. The collection of extant furniture includes 56 hand rail supports of various types. Motherby Hill also retains its original drain covers and gas lamps, although these have since been converted to electrical supply. {1}
