Full Description

62292 A pumping engine is indicated on the 1905 OS County Series map. None of original buildings survive. In 1831 an Act was obtained for improving the drainage of Branston, Potter Hanworth and Nocton. Steam engines were erected in various places both in the above and in other parishes, and these presumably replaced the wind powered mills. This pumping engine may have been built at this time. {1}{2}
