Full Description
An area of quarrying is indicated on the 1905 OS County Series map, with a lime kiln. The area of quarrying is now much extended. The lime kiln is depicted in the woods immediately to the north of the quarry. Also depicted on the same map are an 'Old Stone Pit' to the northwest and an 'Old Quarry' to the northeast. Slight earthworks of all three are visible on LIDAR imagery. {1}{2}
