Full Description

PRN 44407 During a site visit earthworks were observed on land adjacent to the Green, consisting of linear and curvilinear features. These are thought to be medieval in origin although no exact date can be attributed to them. Medieval pottery sherds were also observed close to surface and on the ground but they were not retained. Geophysical survey located a number of anomalies thought to be associated with the earthworks and some other anomalous features were recorded. {1} There are other medieval earthworks located in and around the village. {2}
