There are a pair of estate cottages, known as Winfred and attached cottage, located on Main Street and built by W.A.Nicholson c.1835. They are constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, and steeply pitched slate roof. This building is part of the complete estate village erected for the Chaplin family of Blankney Hall.
