Full Description

62024 A pumping engine is indicated on the 1905 County Series OS map. In 1831 an act was obtained for improving the drainage of Branston, Potter Hanworth and Nocton. Steam engines were erected in various places both in the above and in other parishes, and these presumably replaced the wind powered mills . There are buildings which still survive in 2002, although it is not known whether these are associated with the pumping engine. {1}{2}
