Full Description

A school was built in Metheringham in 1841. The building is located adjacent to the Star and Garter pub, and south of High Street. The buildings now appear to be private houses. {1}{2} Former school. One and a half storey stone building, under a hipped slate roof. There is a flat roof buff brick extension on the street-facing elevation. {3} The school can be seen on both the 1888 and 1905 OS maps of Metheringham. {4}{5}
