A Roman coin was found on the school playing field, although the grid reference given is on Metheringham Heath. It was a coin of Quintillus (AD270), Obv: IMP (CM AVR CL) QUINTILLUS AVG. Rev: LAETITIA AVG. RIC 22 (Rome). {1}{2}
