Full Description

61968 Aneheythe, Hanehaithe or Kirkstedeheyth was an important grange of Kirkstead Abbey, which was granted to the Abbey in the twelfth century. It is thought to have been at Metheringham Lodge, where some traces of the medieval buildings are said to remain in the present farmstead buildings. {1}{2}{3}{4} No traces of fifteenth century work were noted during a site visit. {2}
