Full Description

PRN 70234 During trial trenching one hundred and thirty five sherds of Romano-British pottery and various fragments of animal bone were recovered. Although no actual Romano-Britsh features were recorded, seven box tiles {that are thought to be residual} were recovered and this is though to indicate a substantial, high status Romano-British building in close proximity. {1}{2} During further trial trenching on this site a further forty one sherds of pottery were recorded. {3}{4}
