Full Description

PRN 35538 During trial trenching a medieval linear feature and oval pit have been recorded, artefacts recovered from this site include pottery sherds dating from 11th to 14th century and part of a quern stone. The amount of finds recorded seem to indicate medieval occupation in this area.{1}{2} A watching brief at the site failed to find any features or finds but environmental sampling did give a late medieval-early post medieval date for the peat formation in that area. {3}{4}
