Full Description

PRN 35522 During field walking an 8th -11th century glass bead, possibly manufactured in Ireland, was recovered together with sherds of early medieval pottery. One of the sherds may possibly be pre-conquest, the pottery is in good condition and although may have been deposited via manuring it could be an indicator of early medieval activity. Excavation of trial trenches here was begun but not completed, early indicators of the evaluation also suggest possible medieval activity.{1}{2}{3}{4}
