Full Description

35497 Prehistoric cropmarks have been noted on aerial photographs south of the Great North Road. Most of these have been interpreted as prehistoric settlement, while the rest have been interpreted as being peripheral enclosures and trackway. {1}{3} These cropmarks have also been interpreted as being the remains of a possible Roman settlement, perhaps a farmstead. {2}
