Full Description

PRN 35445 During a watching brief a north/south linear feature, believed to be a foundation trench of an eighteenth century cottage that originally stood on the site, was recorded. The cottage appears on the 1984 Ordnance Survey map, so was demolished after this date. Finds recovered include a pottery sherd dating to the 17th - 18th century, and a piece of animal bone. {1}{2} During trial trenching at SK 9835 4390 foundations of an 17th -18th century building were recorded. {3}{4}
