Full Description
Wesleyan Methodist Chapel is indicated as being located adjacent to the A52 in Hogsthorpe on the 1906 OS County Series. {1}
The chapel was built in 1804 to seat 357. A schoolroom was added in 1848. The chapel was rebuilt on the same site in 1863, with seating capacity reduced to 180. The chapel is of red brick with a gabled roof and yelow brick dressings. It has a decorative wooden door surround, yellow brick pillasters with capitals from which decorative four-centred arches spring. The chapel was sold in 1996 and subsequently converted into flats. {2}{3}{4}
