Full Description

60339 An earthwork and cropmark site was seen from the air by O.G.S.Crawford 20th June 1930, and it was visited by C.W,Phillips in July 1930, when it was under barley. Parallel banks were seen, all less than 1m in height and visible from the ground. In 1964 OS field inspector reported that there were no surface indications of earthworks in the arable fields east of the village and that no surface finds were made. {1}{2} The cropmark has been interpreted as a double-ditched prehistoric boundary. {3}
