PRN 70230
During a watching brief, a surface of probable cobbles was recorded. Although dating evidence was absent, the surface is thought to be medieval or possibly earlier, and may form part of a road surface, a yard, or possibly be part of a medieval marketplace thought to lie outside the east gate of the city.{1}{2}
