Full Description

A small, flat bronze axe was found in 1957, on land west of Branston Lane, Nocton Heath, adjacent to the parish boundary with Waddington. The axe was found after ploughing in that area, and was presented to Lincoln Museum for examination and later donation. The axe had very slight flanges, which had been cast and not hammered up, and was thought to be of early Bronze Age date. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}{6}
