Two dug-out boats were recovered from Nocton Delph. One of them (Nocton 2) was 14 feet long and double-ended, found in 1790 in Nocton Delph, c.80 yards from Nocton 1 at a depth of three feet. Trollope states that both the boats were donated to the British Museum by Joseph Banks, and the finding of the boats was dated by him to 1811, and puts the findspot at the Car Dyke. {1}{2}{3}{4}
