Full Description

PRN 54573 A smithy appears on the 1906 County Series and the 1956 6" Ordnance Survey map.{1}{2} Both a farrier and a blacksmith are mentioned in White's 1856 Directory, indicating the existence of the workshop in 1856.{3} A watching brief recorded the foundations of a pigsty belonging to the blacksmith's complex. Some of the buildings remain standing.{4}{5}
