61700 A Wesleyan chapel is mentioned in White's Directory of 1856. {1}{2}{3} The site was visited in 2009. The first Wesleyan chapel was built in 1819, then twice enlarged and subsequently replaced by this former chapel in 1847. This chapel became the Sunday School when the adjacent chapel was built in 1883 (PRN 65612). It has since been converted into two houses. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a broad three-bay front with a central doorway and large square-headed windows. It has a slate roof and a roundel in the gable. {4}{5}{6}{7}
