Full Description

61608 A single furrow aligned north-east to south-west was found c.34m south of the northern boundary of the field (Plot 12) during works associated with the replacement of an existing water pipe between Harmston and Bracebridge Heath. The furrow was c.3.18m wide and had a flattened U-shaped profile c.30cm deep. Seventeen sherds of medieval pottery were recovered from this feature, which dateto the mid-late fourteenth century. Twelfth to fifteenth century tile and an iron key barrel padlock (medieval-post medieval) were also recovered. Four sherds of pottery and one fragment of tile were recovered from the topsoil. {1}{2}
