Two sherds of Romano-British pottery found in a field near Ketsby House Farm
Type and Period (1)
- FINDSPOT (Roman - 43 AD to 409 AD)
Protected Status/Designation
- None recorded
Full Description
PRN 43939
During a watching brief, two sherds of Romano-British pottery were presented to the archaeologist for donation to the City and County Museum. The sherds apparently came from a field 'to the east of the track from the public road'. As this track runs east/west, it is difficult to ascertain exactly which field was meant, but it apparently represents a 'prolific Roman and medieval pottery findspot'.{1}{2}
