Full Description
61429
Three sherds of Roman pottery were recovered during a watching brief on land south of Back Lane. It consisted of three large joining sherds from a single wide-mouthed grey bowl (weight 393g.) from unstratified material. This is a bowl of the type made at the Rookery Lane kiln in Lincoln, and can be paralleled there. The dating is therefore in the latter half of the third century, and is unlikely to extend into the fourth. {1}{2}
