A Romano-British pottery scatter has been noted on the surface of a ploughed field north of Bicker Road (A52) which extends into the cemetery opposite. Only the pottery near the public footpath was seen, so it the extent of the scatter is not known. Substantial amounts of pottery were identified, including late third-fourth century grey ware, burnished black ware and possible slipware rims. {1}
