Full Description

61304 The Ferry Boat Inn was bequeathed by Sir Nicholas Sanderson, Baronet of Fillingham to his son in 1631 together with ferrying rights across the Witham. The ferry ceased to function in the 1940s. {1} The present building is early eighteenth century, which was altered in the early nineteenth century. It is built with coursed limestone rubble, and brick, now painted, with a pantile roof.
