Roman roof and flue tiles were found in abundance in a field to the west of Grantham Road. These included one possible waster. This indicates the possible presence of a Roman tile kiln. A low ridge is visible in the field. Much grey ware, and some Swanpool ware were also found. {1}
During works associated with the replacement of an existing water pipe between Harmston and Bracebridge Heath, eleven sherds of Romano-British pottery and two fragments of tile were recovered from the northern part of Plot 13. {2}{3}
