Full Description

PRN 70203 Three possible stake holes were discovered during test-pitting, at a depth of 2m. Medeival deposits across the road at Grantham Place were much closer to the surface, suggesting that the stake holes may well be Saxon or earlier in date. {1}{2} Further evaluation on the site revealed three sherds of medieval pottery, two 10th-12th century in date, and the third from the 13th century together with tile. {3}{4}
