Full Description
A flat-based feature, probably a pit, was identified, cut into alluvium which has been tentatively dated to the 6th c. The pit has therefore been dated to the medieval period, and had a fill which included three potsherds and some animal and mollusc remains. The mollusc remains probably represent discard after possible dredging for shellfish. {1}{2}
