Full Description
A watching brief carried out at Plot 2, Caleb Hill Lane identified an undated saltern with brine tanks, clay-lined pits and mounds of burnt debris interspersed with alluvial deposits indicating marine flooding. {1}{2}
A further watching brief at Plot 3 revealed a further brine tank. A medieval pit containing saltern refuse was also revealed. {3}{4}
