Full Description

Earthworks of medieval ridge and furrow to the south of Claypole, identified on aerial photography by the National Mapping Programme. {1} Further earthwork traces of ridge and furrow were identified during a site visit, to the immediate north of those previously identified. The visit was conducted in February 2000 to inform proposed development of land off Doddington Lane. {2}{3} Subsequent geophysical survey on the same site recorded more remains of the ridge and furrow. Two distinct blocks of remains were identified, aligned perpendicular to each other. {4}
