Full Description
Numerous finds were recovered from fields adjacent to the old course of the Witham, comprising Roman (this record) and medieval (61171) pottery, medieval net sinkers (61173), prehistoric flints (61172) and a Neolithic axe (61188). The Roman pottery scatter seems to be more widespread than the medieval. {1}
