Full Description

A school was built in 1856 adjacent to the church, and was supported partly by grants from Christ's and Spittal Hospitals. The original building appears to survive, and to have been extended. {1}{2} Irregular and asymmetric plan form. Stone construction; stone is squared and coursed on all elevations. Stone is used for lintel and sill detailing around windows. Slate roof and stone wall construction. Windows altered in part with some modern plain light windows fitted into former Gothic style window patternation, some modern rectangular dormer windows. {3}
