Full Description

Evidence of structures predating the present building at 61 High Street were revealed during a watching brief on a rear extension. Brick walls on stone footings were recorded. Below this there were further layers, one of which was interpreted as being a floor surface. Medieval pottery was recovered from this context. Post holes were also recorded. {1}
