Full Description

61051 Swinderby railway station was built in about 1850. Many of the buildings survive, and are listed grade II. These include the Station Master's house and a signal box. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building or buildings please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1}{2} Swinderby Station was built c.1846 by the then recently formed Midland Railway, possibly by I.A.Davies who is known to have worked on this line. It is in typically Italianate style, with deeply overhanging eaves, round-arched windows on the ground floor, and a two-storey polygonal bay on the corner. {3}
