Full Description
Woodhouse farmhouse is an early eighteenth century red brick building with a pantile ridge roof and brick coped gables with kneelers and stacks. It has a first floor brick band and decorated eaves cornice. It is double fronted, with a central doorway with a wooden pilaster surround and a flat hood, and a twentieth century glazed door. It has two windows and three windows above, all with segmental brick arches and twentieth century windows. It is a 'neat mansion', and in 1856 it was located within another extra-parochial estate of 100 acres, with six inhabitants. {2}
Woodhouse Farm (Eagle Woodhouse), Eagle and Swinethorpe. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with multiple regular yards. The farmhouse is attached to a range of working buildings. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within a loose farmstead cluster. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {3}
